Arrived at Bunbury, you beauty!

Well, arrived Bunbury last night (Saturday). Voyage is now finished, boat is up for sale. Circumnavigation not completed, but, a pretty good go at it. It's a long way from Brisbane to Bunbury by yourself!

Bunbury, tomorrow?

Captain Col looks like he will make Bunbury tomorrow, Sunday the 9th of January 2011! Looking good. The position posted today is courtesy of the Fremantle Water Police, they told me the noise was pretty bad on the HF Radio today, so the position is hopefully correct.

160 miles to Carnarvon!

Not too far now to Carnarvon, at this report, supplied courtesy of the WA Water Police, Lady Marlen is 10 miles North, Northwest of Norwegian Bay and all is well.

Heading South - Still!

Well, yesterday, Saturday we got a position report from the Captn. Via Coast Radio Adelaide, they are contracted by the South Australian Government to keep a listening watch on all the emergency marine frequencies. They do this by running two powerful transceivers at Wooloona and Charleville.

Today, Sunday Adelaide Radio didn’t hear Col, but Marine Rescue Carnarvon did pick him up but could not make a good contact so they didn’t manage a position report. Tomorrow is another day for listening in.

This blog update brought to you by David on Quinco, now in Port Stephens, NSW.
